Harper Helps Ontario Businesses

A few months back the Harper government launched S.O.D.A. the Southern Ontario Development Agency. So maybe he thought there would be too many jokes with an acronym like SODA so they have renamed it officially now as Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario).  So what does all this mean?  In short it's more money available to small to medium businesses in the form of grants and loans.  When does it start and when does the cash start flowing?  Well we will need to wait and see.  The good news is the ball is rolling and with some luck we may see some result early this fall.  In our worse case scenario it may be early next year, but knowing that programs are being developed is great news.  Check out our next Blog for a detailed background and outline of the new FedDev Ontario Program.
