Having had the opportunity to help and work with charities over the years, I have really developed an admiration for all those people who volunteer and work so hard to help others. Many of us in this country are blessed with so much, and giving our time and resources to help others costs so little.

I recently had occasion to attend an event which brought together numerous charities. These are all amazing small organizations that specialize in specific areas of charitable assistance. Although most of these charities are not as well known, the work they do is outstanding. Naturally, the one aspect they all share is the challenge of raising funds in order to continue their work. As I listened to their unique challenges, I started to jot down ways that my team could help.

In the upcoming year, we will be adding to this list on an ongoing basis. We want to highlight charities we think everyone should know about. Such organizations do amazing work and if there is one in your area, please consider getting involved.
